Leading up to The Big Day!

We were married on Saturday, May 1st. In preparation for the big day, my parental units arrived the preceding Sunday, April 25 (my mom's birthday) to help us get everything ready for the shin-dig and have some fun with us out in Utah. During the week before the wedding I showed my parents around all of the places that the wedding festivities would take place, give the wedding reigns over to my mom (something I was glad to do) and had some mini-parties.

The thursday before the big day, my Grandma (G-mizzle, G-miz) and my Aunt Carol flew in from Maryland! I was so glad that they came and enjoyed picking them up from the airport.

Also on that thursday, my best friends threw me a bridal shower (thanks girls!). It was really fun! They made all kinds of rice-krispie treats (my FAVORITE dessert/snack/meal!)

We played some fun games like making toilet paper wedding dress designs....

And a game to see how well Andrew and I knew one another...

Needless to say, with a few wrong answers we still love each
other!

I was really glad that my family (Mom, G-Miz, Aunt Carol, Grandmom Butcher, Mom Wight) could be there--it made it very special and very fun!

The theme of the bridal shower was recipes (something we were in desperate need of). We got a lot of good recipes and ingredients that go in them. Hopefully they will serve to give our bellies lots of variety (something that we have been looking for)!

It was a really fun time and I want to give a special shout out/thank you to my friends who put this all together!!!

Thanks to Alisha and Krystle!

Thanks to Fel (also the photographer for the night!!)

Thanks to Rachel for being the master-mind (and the most fun picture person!)

Don't I have the best friends ever?

The Friday before the wedding my Dad and I went up to the airport to pick up Hayley and Jeremy in the morning and then we ran around doing some last-minute errands. We finished the day off by having a pizza party with friends/family while finishing up the decorations for the wedding...we had about a billion of these to "fluff" in a variety of colors (many thanks to Raedean who spearheaded this endeavor)...

After the pizza party, Andrew and I made a trip to the SLC airport to pick up Andrew's sister, Jenny, and  his super cute niece! I mean, how could you not be excited to pick these two up?

We got in late, around 12:30 a.m. got a bit of sleep (I stayed with my parents and Andrew at our place) and woke up to our wedding day!

The Day of Posting!

Okay friends, let me preface this by saying...I HAVE A LOT OF POSTING TO DO! Since our last post, we found a place, moved in, got married, went to Jamaica, and came home, got our house under control (kind of), and are living the fun, married life! We still don't have our wedding pictures back (any day now, hopefully) but we do have pictures from our honeymoon and other adventures that we would like to share! So here goes, get ready for the day of updates!

Oh, and for all those wondering, this is how I feel about doing the amount of posts I think I will do in one day.....

And if Andrew were to be posting, this is how we would feel....

AND AWAY WE GO!
